A new record has been set by Srimanthudu on the first day in AP and Nizam. As per trade experts the movie has collected Rs 13.50 Crores on day 1.
Second biggest amount for a Telugu film in the Telugu states. The previous record was by Baahubali, which collected Rs 22 crores on Day 1 in AP and Nizam.
About 7.5 Crores of rupees came from Andhra area, while Ceded area brought in 2.05 Crores of rupees. From the Nizam area, approximately Rs 4 Crs came on the first day.
Altogether, Srimanthudu has become not only biggest opener in Mahesh Babu's career but also the second all-time biggest opener in Tollywood on the first day.
Despite delivering two big flops earlier, Mahesh Babu bringing such humungous openings for the movie has stunned the trade. It is celebrations time for the trade.
