Indian audiences' love for Hollywood action films is nothing new. Of late, several Hollywood films are earning more than 100 crores, on par with the Bollywood star heroes' films. Today, the most awaited Hollywood superhero film Deadpool released amidst a huge buzz that prevailed over the past one week on social media.
Deadpool released in nearly 800 screens and in English and Hindi, Telugu and Tamil etc. Indian fans who love Marvel Comics and the X-Men series patronized the film big time and the film took a flying start at the box-office. In fact, Deadpool is giving a tough competition to the Indian films that released today, Fitoor, Sanam Re and a handful of regional films.
With Fitoor and Sanam Re getting missed reviews and Deadpool already proven to be a huge hit in North America, the film is now poised to collect anywhere between 4 crore to 4.25 crores today and thanks to the super solid advance bookings, it may not be a surprise if Deadpool ends up collecting more than the new Indian releases.
