Union Minister Uma Bharathi assured financial assistance to about five Irrigation Projects in Telangana state under Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP) and PM Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY).
Five Irrigation Projects to be funded by Centre: Indiramma Flood Canal, Palem Vagu, Komaram Bheem, Rajiv Bheema and Jagnathpur projects will be included under Union Government's AIBP and PMKSY.
Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao informs proposals regarding the five irrigation projects will be submitted to Centre by March 11th. He also appealed Uma Bharti to increase the central funding from 25 percent to 60 percent of the total cost for Telangana projects.
In addition, The Union Water Resource minister Uma Bharti promised to release pending dues to the tune of Rs 112 crore for Devadula project which is estimated to be completed by 2017-18.
