Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao declared at least 15 new districts will be created in the state by June 2nd, 2016. He directed the State's Administrative Machinery to prepare action plan to start functioning in the new districts from August 15th or Dussehra this year.
List of existing Districts in Telangana:
Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Adilabad, Medak, Mahabubnagar and Nizamabad.
List of New Districts in Telangana:
Siddipet, Sangareddy, Jagithyala, Manchiryala, Kothagudem, Nagarkurnool, Vanaparthy, Suryapet, Bhuvanagiri, Secunderabad, Charminar, Golkonda, Bhupalapalli, Janagama and Kamareddy.
The proposal to create Shadnagar district combining the outskirts of Hyderabad is being considered. Even Chevella is likely to be made a District.
