Telangana Government decided to give a hike in salaries MLAs and MLCs and Telangana legislative affairs minister Harish Rao introduced the respective bill in Assembly on Monday.
The legislators salaries were proposed to be tripled and they will be getting 2.30 lakh rupees instead of 83,000 rupees according to the new amendment. If the raise in salaries goes an act, then government will be burdened with an extra 42.67 crore rupees annually and Tuesday will witness a discussion on this in Assembly.
An MLA or MLC at least for once will get a pension of 30,000 rupees and for those who were legislators more than once will get an extra 1000 rupees per month and up to a maximum of 50,000 rupees per month.
CM's salary will be 2.44 lakh rupees adding all the allowances and ministers can get up to 2.52 lakh rupees. The detailed pay for ministers comprises of 14,000 in basic, 8,000 special allowance, camp office allowance 10,000, bulletproof car allowance 25,000, own car allowance 30,000, fuel allowance 15,000, house rent allowance of 50,000 rupees and others.
