Soon after the Pakistani cricket team lost the epic encounter with its arch rivals India in the ongoing T20 World Cup, internet erupted in a flood of jokes which read, "Before T20 World Cup - Pak: We are coming to India, were want security. After Losing to India - We are coming back to Pakistan, please provide us security".
Call it irony, but this internet joke has turned partially true. Soon when the Pak cricket team landed at the Allama Iqbal International airport in Lahore on Sunday, angry cricket lovers welcomed them with 'shame..shame' chantings.
Predicting the reception earlier, the Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi flew down to Dubai to escape fans ire. Apart from losing a crucial match to arch finals India, the Pakistani team also lost the crucial do or die match with New Zealand, which left them packing their bags home in the group stage itself.
