91 per cent qualify TS ECET,Girls excel once again,ECET Admission process,ECET Admission in July
Hyderabad: As many as 18,143 candidates qualified in the Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET). Telangana State Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof. T Papi Reddy announced the results at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University here, on Saturday.
A total of 20,794 candidates registered for the test and 19,748 appeared for the exam. Of the total, appeared 18,143 candidates qualified in the examination accounting to 91.87 per cent. Girls have dominated once again in the results. About 94.93 per cent girls qualified in contrast to 90.88 per cent boys.
Speaking to the media, Reddy said the government is planning to complete the admission process by the mid-July and conduct classes from the last week of July. In wake of formation of new State of Telangana, the government had entrusted the work of conducting ECET to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad. The notification was released on February 28 and examination was held on May 21.
