Andhra Pradesh Intel keeps tab,N Chandrababu Naidu,NTR Trust Bhavan,AP Intelligence Bureau department
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government, which deployed its own police forces to guard the house of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and NTR Trust Bhavan (TDP headquarters) in Hyderabad, has now gone a step forward and has pressed its intelligence sleuths to keep a tab on TRS activities in the state capital.
The AP Intelligence Bureau department is keenly monitoring moves made by the TRS camp and were seen attending press meets of TRS leaders and taking notes of statements and comments made by them. The TRS Legislature Party office on the Assembly premises was abuzz with activity on Wednesday with various leaders holding press meets to counter AP government’s stand on the ongoing cash-for-vote issue.
AP intelligence personnel, in mufti, were seen going about their job. So far, AP intelligence personnel were spotted on the Assembly premises only when the AP Assembly was in session. As some of the reporters spotted some new faces and questioned them, they identified themselves as sleuths of intelligence department.
Usually, the ruling party utilizes Intelligence department to get first hand information of what is happening in the state on daily basis. It is for the first time, security forces of another state are closely following activities of a ruling party in its own territory.
It may be recalled that the Telangana police was handling Chandrababu Naidu’s security in Hyderabad including the police escort, the inner and outer protection rings besides providing personal security officers to AP ministers. In light of cash-for-vote scam, AP government has deployed Octopus commandos and Special Police personnel outside the CM’s residence and other places.
