Uttarakhand Flash floods,Anantapur Pilgrims,140 Telugu Pilgrims Stuck In Uttarakhand,Telugu people Stuck In Uttarakhand,Telugu people Stuck In Uttarakhand Flash Floods
Even before the Telugu people could forget the deadly flash floods in Uttarakhand in 2013 in which several Telugu people lost their lives, yet another flash flood in Uttarakhand has hit a group of 140 pilgrims from Ananthapur district. Ever since the floods erupted, they have been taking shelter in an inn and cut off from outside communication.
As per the media reports, around 140 pilgrims belonging to the villages of Kadiri, Thanakallu, Madakasira and Belagappa were on a pilgrimage on the Char dham yatra when the flood struck them. After an initial communication with their relatives in their village, there has been no word from them with all the modes of communication completely destroyed.
The families of the stranded pilgrims are now requesting the state authorities to intervene and carry out the rescue operations at the earliest. In the 2013 flash floods in Uttarakhand, nearly 1000 innocent pilgrims and locals lost their lives while nearly 70,000 people lost their shelters.
