Hyderabad: Telangana State is all geared up to ring in the first anniversary its formation on a spectacular scale on June 2. Week-long celebrations will begin on the day, with the main event to be organised in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Parade Grounds here.
All the 10 districts in the newly-formed State have geared up for massive celebrations that will witness a host of events related to Telangana's culture and struggle for statehood from June 2 to 7. A series of cultural and literary programmes along several events will showcase the rich history and culture of the new State. Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh and formed as the 29th State of the country on June 2 last year.
The celebrations will commence with floral tributes paid at Martyrs Memorial in Hyderabad's Gun Park. The main function is being organised in Parade Grounds, Secunderabad where Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be the chief guest.
