Hyderabad: All IAS officers working for the Andhra Pradesh government have to face a monthly ‘performance test’ now. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has decided to assess the performance of the various departments every month.
Accordingly, the CMO has sent a circular to all IAS officers and departments asking them to submit reports on the working of each department every month. The officers have to submit monthly reports by the 5th of the following month.
After obtaining approval of the minister concerned, the department secretaries have to submit the reports to the CMO. A parallel copy must be submitted to the chief secretary for his perusal.
The circular saod that the report must contain one-page executive summary, performance targets, significant achievements (if any), primarily goal-oriented and essential process parameters, any important decisions needed and status of works instructed by the Chief Minister, among others.
