In a yet another setback to Congress in the state, its own MLC Kantheti Satyanarayana Raju has jumped into BJP. Ditching Congress, Kantheti joined BJP on Wednesday in the presence of BJP chief Amit Shah in New Delhi. Kanthenti was the Congress senior leader and had been with the party for longtime. He served as AICC secretary and also worked as former minister. He was inducted into MLCs after Rosaiah resigned his MLC and elevated as Governor. Kathineni missed the bus Legislative Council was revived in 2006.

Kantheti is senior and have good relations with all congress leaders at Centre. He was close to former Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Rosaiah and Pallam Raju. Given that already Congress is  big zero in AP, it would take more time for it to recover from the fresh salvo.

At a time, AP PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy is leaving no stone unturned to bring back "glory" to Congress in the state and trying to do movements like "1 Crore signature" and protests across state against Centre for meting out injustice to state, shocker from a senior leader is definitely an embarrassing moment.
