Hyderabad: The last date for submission of online applications for Eamcet without fine is April 9 and with a late of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 is April 15 and 22 respectively.Students would be allowed to make corrections to the online application forms between April 15 and 20. The last date for receipt of online applications with fine of Rs 5,000 and 10,000 is May 5 and 12.

Candidates can download the hall tickets from the website www.tseamcet.nic.in between May 8 and 12. The examination will be held on May 14 in two sessions i.e. engineering exam from 10 am to 1 pm and agriculture and medicine from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.  The preliminary key would be announced on May 16 and students can raise objections on preliminary key before May 23. The results will be declared on May 28.

There would be no change pattern of exam and qualifying mark. The syllabus for the examination has been finalised and will be made available on the website www.tseamcet.nic.in soon, Eamcet convener and JNTU-H Registrar Prof. N V Ramana Rao said.The students will be allowed to use blue and black ball point pen for making the Optical Mark Registration (OMR) sheets. “This year also we are placing OMR sheets on the website for more transparency,” Rao informed.

Telangana State Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof. T Papi Reddy said as per Article 371 (D), admissions will be given for Andhra Pradesh students in 15 per cent open quota. When asked about how they would arrive at 25 per cent weightage to the intermediate marks for AP students, Board of Intermediate Education, Shailaja Ramaiyer said-“After results are announced, we will look at whether any major difference between the overall evaluation and performance of students  and then make a decision.

If required we will go for normalization process."On the Andhra Pradesh government approaching the High Court over notification, Prof. Reddy said the Telangana government formed the State Council of Higher Education and directed us to conduct the examinations. “It’s up to them to move the Court. They are violating the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act.

Our advocate general also informed the High Court that AP State Council of Higher Education has no legality and is working illegal,” Reddy added.  When asked about the private engineering colleges that have dis-affiliated, Rao said they cannot comment on the issue as the matter is sub judice.According to the officials of TSCHE, CET committee on ECET and ICET would meet on February 23 and 26 respectively to release the scheduled.
