The Telangana BJP is planning a series of activities to mark the fourth anniversary of Telangana Poru Yatra, the first after formation of the Telangana State, on January 19.
Party workers led by G. Kishan Reddy, BJP president, will visit Krishna village, the entry point of river Krishna into Telangana, offer prayers and hold a meeting.
The Telangana Poru Yatra, which began in January 2012, went on for 22 days and covered 84 constituencies in Telangana.
A total of 333 meetings were addressed.
Without the support of the BJP, separate Telangana wouldn’t have seen the light of the day,” said N. Ramchander Rao, national executive member, BJP, in a press release.
