Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has assured the drinking water problem being faced by the people of Mahabubnagar district.
Addressing different meetings during his tour of Patha Palamoor, TD Gutta, Erramannugutta, Patathoti and other areas on Sunday, the Chief Minister admitted the the people of Mahabubnagar district were getting water supply once in 14-15 days. However, he assured that the Mahabubnagar town would soon get water supply from Srisailam Project.
The Chief Minister also expressed concern over non-availability of basic amenities in Patha Palamoor. Stating that the residents were not even having proper toilets, he proposed that common toilets would be constructed for the people in those areas. He exhorted people to fight unitedly to overcome problems like poverty. He said special stress would be laid on the implementation of self-employment schemes. He also assured to take up housing for poor on priority basis. Promising that he would re-visit the district within eight days to lay the foundation stone for housing scheme, he directed the employees to complete the construction works within three-four months.
Earlier, the Chief Minister left for Mahabubnagar through a helicopter from Begumpet Airport on Sunday. During his visit, he also interacted with the senior officials and also held a review meeting of Zilla Parishad.
