In a review meeting with officials about the homeless poor people in Hyderabad, KCR is said to have made some interesting comments. Telangana CM said that he is willing to arrange houses for all the homeless and needy people in the city and as per the government records, the number is anywhere close to 2 lakhs.

Chief Minister KCR was seen talking about the surplus & unused land in the posh areas like Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. He has ordered the officials to get complete details of the vacant lands and also asked them to prepare a feasibility report of building houses for the poor people in the same localities. Though this might draw a huge dissent from the posh & established areas, KCR doesn't want to lose out on the vacant lands. "We want to use the allotted yet vacant lands of Universities and Govt Offices for providing shelter to the poor," said KCR.

On the other hand, he has assured that there will be no power cuts from next year and Telangana will be self sufficient by that time. The proposed thermal power plant at Nalgonda will be started soon and the CM has confirmed that it will be named as Yadadri Power Plant.
