AP CM and TDP chief, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has fired on the party's Amalapuram MP, Pandula Ravindra Babu, for his controversial comments about the Indian Army on a national TV channel couple of months ago. The MP said that those who willingly join the Indian Army has to toil themselves but they get to enjoy free perks like liquor, food, holidays etc.
These comments naturally invited severe flak from people across the country, but the MP refused to apologise. Reacting to his MP's comments finally, Chandrababu said that TDP disowns Ravindra Babu's comments and fired on the MP saying that it is only because of such irresponsible MPs, that the party's image is at stake.
The Chief Minister further said that he has been constantly advising his party men to be more cautious while speaking to media. Babu also asked the MP to submit his written explanation for his comments within 24 hours. The CM further said that TDP, since NTR's time, had immense respect for the Indian Army men, who selflessly toil for the country's safety.
