When you look or think of the famous Tank Bund in Hyderabad, there are many things you can speak high of. Right from the Buddha statue to the famous Patton tank of Pakistan army to the famous eateries surrounding the Hussain Sagar lake. But the one thing that sets this place apart is the statues of our Telugu stalwarts.

It was the great N T Rama Rao who came up with these statues and they have stood as a symbol of pride and prestige to Telugu people. Now, the Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu is planning something similar in Rajahmundry.

Reports reveal Naidu is looking to come up with statues of Telugu legends along the shore of river Godavari in Rajahmundry. Sources say this is one project he is willing to start as soon as possible. In entire coastal Andhra, the riverside cities are Vijayawada and Rajahmundry. But more than Vijayawada, Rajahmundry is preferred due to the vastness of the river. Vijayawada has become congested but open space is high in Rajahmundry. Already, there is one concept in Vizag similar to Tank Bund wherein few statues are there at the famous RK beach. Time for Rajahmundry to get into that club soon.
