On Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed a public meeting at Narsipuram village in Vizianagaram district where he said that his party along with him will continue to put pressure on the Centre to grant special status to the residuary state without delay.
Mr Naidu supporting the various agitations that are being held in demand for the Special Status said that the state has been suffering ever since the previous Congress government divided the state in an unscientific matter. To build the new capital city and generate the economic activity, a special status and financial assistance is required, said the Chief Minister.
The demand raised by the AP Government is yet to receive a response from the Centre.
