Former Indian Premier League chairman Lalit Modi, on Monday lashed out at N Srinivasan and said that all the BCCI members that voted in favour of the latter, must be disallowed or banned to participate in any cricket activity. Modi also stated that IPL franchises Chennai Super Kings and Rajastan Royals must be cancelled from the mega cricket event.

Modi expressed his views on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Modi further stated that if owners indulge in betting activity, the rule book must be thrown at them. He also added that IPL chief operating officer, Sundar Raman must be locked up in jail.

Resuming the hearing related to the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing and betting scandal, the Supreme Court on Monday, said that the cash-rich tournament is a mutual beneficial society between BCCI and IPL. Making some stringent observations over the report submitted by the Mudgal panel, the Supreme Court told BCCI that the common man's trust has been shaken and it's time to uphold the glory of the game.

Supreme Court's observation comes as a huge blow for Srinivasan as they asked him to come clean on the issue of conflict of interest by being board president and Chennai Super Kings owner simultaneously. The SC asked BCCI how members who are financially viable have gone on to become team owners in IPL and how is that not a conflict of interest. Modi said he agreed to SC's verdict that the conflict of interest must go and the guilty must be punished and made example off as the matter can't be swept under the carpet.

The hearing of the report submitted by the Mukul Mudgal committee will resume on Tuesday, as the fates of N Srinivasan, Gurunath Meiyappan, Sundar Raman and Royals owner Raj Kundra hang in balance.
