The draw date for the Delhi Development Authority's (DDA) Housing Scheme 2014 has been shifted to November 25.

The DDA had decided to hold the draw on Monday, after another trial run on November 22, but the draw was postponed due to technical glitches triggered by a huge number of applications.

The authority has received more than 10 lakh applications for its ambitious housing scheme.

The land development agency had initially announced the tentative day for holding the draw as November 5 but it was postponed to November 17.

The DDA had failed to hold the draw on November 17 too after its trial runs were not found successful.

The enormous data, with a record number of 10,08,700 applications for the scheme, resulted in mock draws taking up nearly eight to nine hours.

It had also called in technical experts to fix the technical glitches.

The computerised draw of allotment of flats is based on Random Number Indicated Technique. The complete draw process comprises of three stages - Randomization of Applicants and Flats, Picking of lucky numbers and finally the mapping of applicants and flats.

The DDA's Housing Scheme 2014, which was launched on September 1 and and closed on October 15, is the land development agency's biggest scheme ever with 25,034 flats on offer.
