Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu made it clear Centre & State Governments have to first convince the other states demanding 'Special' Status for implementation of Special Category Status in Andhra Pradesh as specified in AP Re-Organisation Act.
 
Venkaiah Naidu assured Centre is committed to develop the New Capital of AP and inform department wise estimates have already been sought for allocation of funds. He says Foundation Stone for AIIMS in Vijayawada will be laid soon and works of IIM at Visakha will begin soon.
 
The Minister faulted UPA Government for neglecting home work before passing AP Re-Organisation Bill in both houses of Parliament. He said Modi-led NDA Government is studying the issues cropped up post bifurcation of AP.
