CPI now has joined the protest for Special status to newly formed andhra radesh state. The activists rushed into some of the Central Government offices in Anantpur like BSNL office, Post office and demolished the computers, Television and destroyed the furniture. The police reached the spot and arrested some of the activists.

CPI on Wednesday protested over Centre's "indifferent attitude" towards Andhra Pradesh. CPI's Andhra Pradesh Secretary K Rama Krishna told reporters here that Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu should lead an all-party delegation to Delhi against the Union Government for its "failure" to announce a special package for Andhra Pradesh and according special category status to the state.
