Cyberabad security council,Hyderabad Police revive society for IT personnel

Cyberabad Commissioner C.V. Anand took over as the new chief of the revamped Cyberabad Security Council on Wednesday. The council also includes executives from the IT companies besides members from Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) and National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM).

The move is aimed at bringing in more professionalism into the body that deals with the security aspect of IT companies operating in different parts of Cyberabad.

Started eight years ago, the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) as of now concentrates mainly on security and traffic management in Madhapur IT corridor in coordination with the police.

Following its successful tenure, the council plans to bring in hospitality industry and hotels too.

“Reorganisation was done in order to increase the total level of activities.

We will soon be spreading to other IT areas like Uppal, Pocharam and Adibatla. We expect more activity in future in these areas,” Mr. Anand explained. Considering that one lakh women employees were working in different companies in the IT corridor, their security forms an important subject and all steps will be taken to safeguard them. Apart from ‘SHE’ teams, security personnel and cab drivers are also being sensitised on safety issues, he added.
