The Hyderabad branch of the Enforcement Directorate ( ED ) is all set to attach the properties of veteran movie director-politician Dasari Narayana Rao for his role in the infamous coal-scam.

Central probing agency CBI has concluded that Dasari, during his tenure as coal minister, had favoured Jindal Power and Steel Limited and received quid-pro-quo benefit of Rs.2.25 Cr to his Soubhagya Media.

Dasari was questioned by CBI and ED officials many a time for  his role in coal scam in the recent past. Dasari Narayana Rao has however denied reports that he played a role in the coal scam when he was Coal Minister at the Centre.
