AP Government wishes to make Donakonda in Prakasham district as Industrial Hub. Based on the report issued by a Malasia consultancy over the possibility of setting up Industrial Hub in Donakonda where 45,000 acres of Government land is available, Government decided to focus on the road connectivity at this place.
 
R&B Department has been preparing the proposal for laying 4-lane roads between Kurnool-Donakonda and Addanki-Donakonda to resolve the connectivity issues.
 
Over Rs 500 crore investments in Pharma Industry that will be set up in Donakonda is expected. AP Govt. is keen on setting up Solar manufacturing unit in this region.
