Hyderabad: Justice A Ramalingeswara Rao of the High Court at Hyderabad on Thursday heard at length the arguments by managements of private engineering colleges against the JNTU Hyderabad. The judge was dealing with petitions filed by managements of various private engineering colleges in the state (Telangana).
They questioned the action of the varsity in conducting inspections and cancelling affiliation. The university complained that there was shortage of teaching faculty and the facilities in the laboratories. The colleges maintained that they have already taken steps to create appropriate facilities as per law but they are being kept out of counselling. In many colleges the intake has been reduced. The judge adjourned the matter to Friday for judgement
