Hyderabad Traffic Police introduces cashless challans,Telangana State on trial basis,cases of traffic violations

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police on Monday introduced cashless enforcement for commuters of Telangana State on trial basis.

Earlier, cases of traffic violations were booked through Contact enforcement / Non Contact enforcement method and issuing spot/ e-challans to the violators. But, now the Hyderabad Traffic Police have introduced the Cashless enforcement against traffic violations on the field. “Strictly our Traffic Police will not collect any fine amounts on the field and no one should give any cash amounts to the Traffic Police personnel,” said Additional CP Traffic Jithender.

Now Citizens can pay their fine amounts through Net Banking through the website www.htp.gov.in and click challan status or www.echallan.org, enter the vehicle Registration Number and if any challans are pending, they can go through and click Net Banking icon and pay the challans through Debit/Credit cards and Net Banking in the easy and simple procedure.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have also developed the Android mobile application for easy payment gateway for paying the challans. Users can download the Android APK “E-Challan Telangana” through “Play Store”.

Earlier system to pay fine amounts at e-Seva/Mee Seva, AP Online Centers Debit/Credit card facility through “State Bank of Hyderabad” and “ICICI Bank”, Traffic Compounding Booth, Traffic Complex, Opp: Public Garden, Nampally. Hyderabad is continuing.

“For any clarification, the Traffic Help Line center staff will help commuters in guiding payment of pending challans. Contact Number of helpline is 9010203626,” Jithender said.
