Hyderabad: Did YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy meet Telangana Minister T Harish Rao before TDP leader A Revanth Reddy was trapped in the cash-for-vote case? The allegation, which was made by AP minister Y Ramakrishnudu at a press conference in Rajahmundry on Friday, invited sharp reaction from the YSR Congress Party.
At a press conference here, that party leader Botcha Satyanarayana not only denied the allegation but challenged Ramakrishnudu to prove it. He said if the minister could prove the charge, he would quit politics forever.
In a counter reaction, AP minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy took potshots at Botcha stating that as former APCC president, Botcha used to criticise Jagan and had even called him ‘dopididaar’ (one who loots). Botcha was trying to be in the good books of Jagan in anticipation of getting a ticket to Rajya Sabha.
Palle said that during the Samaikyandhra movement, Botcha even tried to push the then chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy out and grab his chair. Such a person had no moral right to make any demand, he added.
