Adamant leaders of RTC Unions have dug in and dared the two Telugu state governments to jail as many employees as they want. During talks over pay hike with Andhra pradesh Ministers Siddha Raghav Rao and Atchennaidu, the Union leaders criticised the ministers for sending a TDP leader to the High Court and create problems for the RTC employees.

The union leaders declared that until their 43 per cent fitment demand was met they would continue to protest.

Labour Minister Atchennaidu is reported to have informed the union leaders the reluctance of AP government to increase bus fares to meet the additional budgetary burden.

He urged the union leaders to call off the strike keeping the high court ruling in view. However, the union leaders said they were not ready to do so.
