Telangana Chief Minister KCR has on Wednesday demanded the Centre to announce Bharat Ratna for former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rso posthumously.

Welcoming central government's announcement of Bharat Ratna title for former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and veteran freedom fighter and educationist Madan Mohan Malava, KCR said he felt happy at the announcement.

He, however, hastened to add that former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao also should have been honoured with the title. " He also deserves it and the Central Government should honour him with the highest civilian award."

KCR said Telangana government had recommended Bharat Ratna for P.V.Narasimha Rao but the Centre did not act on it.
