Earlier, it was speculated that the Chief Minister would arrive in Khammam on Thursday evening and review developmental works and welfare schemes

Khammam: Bringing the curtains down to speculation over Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s visit to Khammam, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on Thursday said that the Chief Minister will arrive in Bhadrachalam, the abode of Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy, on Friday evening and attend the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama on Saturday.

Earlier, it was speculated that the Chief Minister will arrive in Khammam on Thursday evening and review developmental works and welfare schemes. The district administration has been on toes for the last few weeks. But it wasn’t to be.  According to the new itinerary, the Chief Minister, who is carrying the Mutyala Talambralu on behalf of the State government for the Lord’s celestial wedding on Saturday, will head for Manuguru where he is scheduled to launch the works of power plant.

Later, he will leave for Warangal for the night stay. On Sunday, he will conduct an aerial survey of Devadula, Kanthanapalli and Kaleshwaram projects before leaving for Hyderabad.Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Mahesh M Bhagawat, who heli-hopped to the temple town on Thursday, reviewed the security arrangements.

He visited the guest house, where the Chief Minister was scheduled to stay, and the temple. District Collector K Ilambarthi and SP Shahnawaz Qasim were also present.Meanwhile in a statement, the district administration said that Governor ESL Narasimhan along with his wife will attend Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam in Bhadrachalam on Sunday.
