Environment in JNTU campus at Kukatpally turned tense when ABVP attacked JNTU rector office. ABVP supporters who organised Srujana Technical fest tied lot of flags. Rumours came that University Rector Kishan Kumar Reddy abused ABVP students over phone taking their caste using obscene language asking them why they didnot remove the flags.

Furious students boycotted classes and attacked Rector office demanding action against him. Students released the recording of conversation of Rector with them to the media. ABVP leader lodged complaint according to SC,ST act to the police. However shockingly police arrested 7 students vitiating the atmosphere.
