Telangana chief minister K Chandraseskhar Rao is busy with giving Telangana flavor to all the things.He already changed names of several institutions and named after them Telangana personalities.Now he has concentrated on Train services which runs from Telangana state. KCR today requested the railway ministry to change the name of Andhra Pradesh Express as Telangana Express.

The Express train does not pass through any part of Andhra Pradesh and as it originates from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state, the CM wants the train to be named as Telangana Express. KCR said passengers used to commute to and fro between Hyderabad and New Delhi in AP Express in the undivided Andhra Pradesh State. Hence it was named AP Express.As the state was separated now he requested the central to change it as Telangana express.

Other side the existing Telangana express which runs between Hyderabad and Sirpur Kagajnagar in Adilabad district, be changed as Komuram Bhim Express. The Andhra Pradesh Express is a superfast South Central Railway train that runs between Hyderabad and New Delhi. It operates daily, taking around 27 hours to cover the distance while passing through the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh before reaching New Delhi.
