Armed with brooms, drums and footwear, the Telangana TDP leaders and activists on Friday staged dharnas in front of the residences of those MLAs, who were elected on TDP ticket and defected to the ruling TRS party for greener pastures.

The TDP leaders and cadre staged dharnas in front of the residences of Sanath Nagar MLA and Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Ibrahimpatnam MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, Parakala MLA Dharma Reddy and Maheshwaram MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy.

However, the police intervened and arrested TNSF activists, including Telugu Yuvatha president Veerendra Goud at Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s residence.

The TDP activists also staged dharnas at the residences of Teegala Krishan Reddy and Manchireddy Kishan Reddy at Saroor Nagar.

TDP leaders Ramulu and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said the TRS was holding plenary with the support of defectors and traitors. The way TRS plenary was organized showed the party represents the rich and it was a white collar leaders’ plenary, they said.
