Telengana IT & Panchatat Raj minister K. T. Rama Rao said today that a record 25 projects were given clearance through the T PASS policy in just 30 days in the state based on self certification. Addressing the meeting National Seminar on 'Make in India - Opportunities and Challenges' organised by the The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) he said the state has a total land bank of 2.5 lakh acres of which 1.4 lakh acres are available readily.
He said though the state inherited a power deficit state steps have been taken to add power through short term strategy of power purchase and also the medium strategy of renewal energy of Rs. 6.4 per unit .” A comprehensive water grid project for drinking water has been launched and scheduled to be completed in one year to end the drinking water problems for common man and industrial water needs of the industries”.
R KT R said the state had launched two mega initiatives - building of State of Art Pharma City in Musheerabad and Building of state of Art Textile Park near Warangal and also planned 3 industrial corridors are planned. A task force to review the taxation structure has been set up and also a corpus fund created to promote SC/ST entrepreneurship with 200 crores.
The IT minister who is the key architect of Bangaru Telangana campaign next to CM K Chandrasekhar Rao urged the big corporate to take up citizen oriented works in villages under their CSR fund. He said the state government had on cards to organise a global investment meet Jan next year.
