Hyderabad: A stalking harassment led to death of a girl. An unfortunate incident took palce in Nalgonda in which a 19-year-old degree student, who was reportedly being stalked by a youth, allegedly committed suicide in Nalgonda district on Monday.

The girl consumed pesticide on January 2 and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital on Monday in Suryapet town of the district, DSP Suryapet (Sub-Division) Abdul Rashid said.

Complaint was lodged by the girl’s relatives alleging that one Srinivas was stalking her, which made her take this extreme step, the senior police officer said.A suicide case has been registered against Srinivas and a hunt has been launched to nab the absconding accused.
