Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said his government will conduct recruitment drive to offer some one lakh jobs to the youth in two years.
Participating in a debate on budget at Telangana Legislative Council here after Leader of the Opposition D Srinivas and others sought clarity, he announced that the government was committed to offer jobs to youth and students, who stood in the front during the statehood movement. The government is awaiting Kamalanathan Committee Report on official bifurcation and then issue notifications to take up recruitment drive, KCR declared.
The TRS government is committed to recruit Urdu teachers’ posts, he said. As per the information, there are some 1,500 to 2,000 vacant posts in Urdu schools and the government would take steps to fill them soon, he declared. The recruitment drive will be conducted in a phased manner and the eligible youth will get jobs in 2015 and 2016, he declared. However, he maintained that the Government was not in a hurry to conduct a new DSC before settling the issue of rationalization at schools. “Since there are some discrepancies related to teachers and students ratio, we are planning to sort out the issue by taking suggestions from the members of the House”, KCR said.
The Chief Minister expressed concern that there are no teachers in some schools which have students and vice versa. Since this problem has to be solved, the government cannot take a decision to conduct a DSC. A decision will be taken in this regard for facilitating teaching and not just for giving posts, KCR remarked.
