Power Star Pawan Kalyan is a unique and different man in politics. Notwithstanding fan mania and the craze for so called Pawanism, he has proved to be a novice in politics but not in terms of creating right impact. Pawan’s brother Chiru was instrumental in making Chandrababu stay away from power in 2009.

It was the same Pawan Kalyan 2.0 who ensured there is groundswell of support for  segments of Coastal AP contributing for his victory. But time and again, he has dropped hints of taking up agitations and also ‘questioning’ Babu as and when need arises. No one has any clue regarding this.

The current controversy involving note for vote scam by TDP, alleged phone tapping by Telangana government and the renewed squabble about Hyderabad status shook both states. Again, it is only silence from Pawan camp. This has now given a new weapon to Jagan camp in Telugu speaking states. Jagan was all set to land in AP capital area to interact with farmers in AP’s proposed capital region few months ago.

That was a volatile time involving land pooling. It was a serious occasion that could have upset TDP applecart. Quickly Pawan jumped into the fray, made confusing statements supporting TDP and also indirectly warning at another meeting. This ensured weak coverage as well as failed attempt of Jagan’s protests. Now the reasoning is whether Pawan will come out only when Chandrababu has direct trouble from Jagan. 2014 polls may be a best example of this.
