Minister for Endowments A. Indrakaran Reddy on Wednesday announced that thus far, a whopping Rs. 600 crore was spent on improving public amenities at 106 bathing ghats across Telangana State to help people take a holy dip during the Godavari Pushkaralu between July 14 and 25.

Review held

He held an extensive review with officers belonging to a dozen government departments as to the progress of works as the date of the ‘pushkaralu’ was drawing closer. Major allocations he said, included Rs. 250 crore to Roads & Buildings Department, Rs. 105.39 to Irrigation department, Rs. 75 crore for Panchayati Raj.
