Rajahmundry/Hyderabad: Godavari Pushkaralu should be organised on a grand scale, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu told the distirct officials during a review meeting held at R&B Guest House here on Thursday.
He directed the officials to act as per the plan from commencement till the conclusion of the Pushkaralu. He warned of stringent action even on a minor complaint against the arrangements for the devotees.
He suggested them to organise the Godavari Aarati in a much better way. Along with monitoring and management committee, a state-level committee will also be constituted for the Pushkaralu.
The Chief Miniser lashed out at the non-completion of four-lane bridge works on Godavari River between Rajahmundry and Kovvur. He warned the concerned company, Gaman India of placing it in the black list if it fails to complete the works at the earliest.
On the other hand, the priests union launched a relay hunger strike in Rajahmundry, demanding the government to allow them to conduct rituals at every ghat during the Pushkaralu.
