Karimnagar: A national award has been announced for National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Ramagundam, by Central Electricity Authority of India (CEA) on Monday.The CEA after receiving regular data on almost all the areas of power sector, such as generation, transmission and distribution of power declares the awards every year.

The awards will be given to highest ranking thermal power stations in recognition of their operational performances during the year.The CEA after observing the work of various thermal power stations in the country selected NTPC, Ramagundam, for the third place for the year 2014-15. NTPC, Ramagundam, is going to receive the bronze medal from the CEA. The award will be presented at a ceremony which will be organised by the CEA.
