Hyderabad: Senior TDP leader and former minister Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy on Saturday demanded the government to release a white paper on the ongoing works of Metro rail in the city. Speaking to mediapersons at NTR Bhavan here on Saturday, Ravula alleged that the Metro Rail works are going on at a tardy pace in the city due to negligent attitude of the TRS government and adamant attitude Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Ravula said the Metro Rail project work started with an estimated cost of Rs 14,000 crore. But due to delay in the works, the cost might have been increased and government should come out with the facts, he added. The TDP leader said Metro rail alignments can be changed for the convenience of general public and ruling party wanted changes in the alignments as per whims and fancies of the ruling party leaders, he lamented.
Ravula alleged that the TRS government had suspended the TDP members from the Assembly fearing that they might expose the failures of the KCR government, including delay of Metro works. He accused the TRS government of working on the lines of Congress party and helping contractors and landlords
