The indefinite strike by the employees of RTC unions in the Telugu states of AP and Telangana has taken a serious turn now. Being stubborn with their numerous demands, the RTC employees are not in a situation to listen to the government officials and want to continue their strike. In spite of government's willingness to increase the fitment to 27% [previous best being 24%], the unions are still in a demanding mode.

With Eamcet exams scheduled for Friday, the officials are looking at alternate measures to provide transportation to more than 2 lakhs of students. Their plan to hire the temporary drivers from Fire Service Department might workout by evening and might see at least 30% buses running from the depots. In the eve of agitations, most of the bus depots are secured by 144 Section as of now.

As per the reports, around 30% of the buses in AP and 7-10% buses of Telangana will be running by tonight. Thousands of regular passengers were severely hit by this merciless strike of RTC employees and all the railway stations are currently packed with countless people. Let's hope that the governments respond to this immediately and see that the EAMCET students doesn't get effected with the transportation facilities tomorrow!
