There is nothing like when you get rewarded from the person who you idolise. One such a moment came for Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal when she received the 'Youth Icon of the Year' award by her inspiration Sourav Ganguly at the inaugural Times of India Sports Awards.
"It is an honour for me and the biggest part is that I am receiving this award from my childhood inspiration - Sourav Ganguly," Saina said after receiving the award from the former captain of the Indian cricket team.
"I have admired Ganguly sir. He has inspired me a lot. Today I am really honoured to receive the award from him. I have always loved watching him on the field," Saina said.

The recent months have been amazing for Saina and the star shuttler said she is looking forward to winning more titles after touching the pinnacle of sport by becoming the No. 1 women's singles players on the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings. However, she has dropped to No. 2 in the latest BWF rankings, losing the spot to reigning Olympic champion Li Xuerui.
The Hyderabad girl had become the first Indian woman to reach No. 1 in the sport after finishing runners-up to reigning World Champion Carolina Marin at All England Championships and then winning the India Open in March.
"My job is to give my best and not think about rankings," Saina said.
