NEW DELHI: BJP chief Amit Shah on Friday took a dig at Congress and asked the opposition party to search for Rahul Gandhi instead of finding faults in the NDA government.

"Instead of trying to find faults in NDA government, faults that do not exist, the opposition should search for its leader," Amit Shah said during BJP's national executive meeting in Bengaluru.

As expected, Congress reacted sharply to the jibe.

Congress spokesperson Sharmistha Mukherjee slammed BJP for making an issue out of a non-issue.

"Instead of worrying about Rahul, Modi government should concentrate on good governance," she said.

Rahul Gandhi is at present away on "leave of introspection".

The Congress vice-president proceeded on a surprise leave of absence just before the crucial Budget Session of Parliament started.

His absence has put the Congress on the defensive.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi during a recent visit to Amethi assured people over there that Rahul will be back soon.
