Food Poisoning,Rajahmundry hospital,Andhra Pradesh,Rampachodavaram
34 tribal students were admitted into the government general hospital, Rajahmundry after consuming a meal at their hostel in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
The in-charge project officer of Integrated Tribal Development Authority in Rampachodavaram (forest) agency area of the district, Vijayaramarao said that on Friday night, the students following the afternoon meal at the government run tribal welfare hostel at Potavaram village, complained of stomach pain and began vomiting.
While the condition of the victims is stable, they will be kept under observation for 48 hours in the Intensive Care Unit said General Hospital Superintendent, Vistnuvardhani.
An inquiry has been ordered into the incident by District Collector H Arunkumar, who visited the students at the hospital and was told that the eggs given to them were stale.
