Despite the ongoing strike by RTC employees in the state, the one-minute rule will stay for the TSEamcet-2015 exam scheduled for Thursday. The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad made it clear that the candidates will not be allowed to enter examination centres if they reach late even by one minute.

However, the government is making alternative arrangements to transport students to their respective examination centres on right time. Along with the partially run RTC buses, the government will also use buses of private colleges to transport students to examination centers on the day of exam.

Around 600 buses will be run in Hyderabad on Thursday exclusively for Eamcet students, RTA officials said.

NV Ramana Rao, registrar,JNTUH and convener TSEamcet-2015, said all arrangements have been made for the maiden Eamcet by the state government. So far 2,31,998 students from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana applied for the entrance exam for admission into medicine and engineering courses.

According to the convener, 1,39,636 students will appear for the test for engineering stream and 92,362 students have applied for agriculture and medical streams. No changes have been made in the format and pattern of examination.

The question paper for both the tests will carry 160 multiple choice questions, he said.

The JNTU officials said strict measures have been taken to prevent mass copying in the exam. Students are not allowed to bring any electronic gadget including wrist watches.

During the test, they can check time on the wall clocks which have already been installed at all the examination halls, the officials said.
