Mahabubnagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cadres burnt an effigy of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government at Telangana Chowrasta, here on Friday, alleging that ruling party leaders are resorting to land grabbing. They raised slogans against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao demanding him to stop his party workers from encroaching government and temple lands.
Speaking to the media, the BJP State vice-president Nagura Rao said that there has been a rise in number of land grabbing cases. He came down heavily on district police officials for filing cases on BJP workers, who tried to stop ruling party leaders from encroaching government and temple lands. He slammed police officials for filing false cases against BJP activists. Party’s state executive committee member K Ramulu and other leaders were also present.
