Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has approached the Supreme court today over the Krishna water allocations to the state. As per the sources, the Telangana Goverment filed apetition in the supreme court today seeking a stay on the Krishna Tribunal Judgement and order for the release of Krishna water to the Telangana state.

The Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) has earlier allowed Telangana to use three TMC (thousand million cubic) feet water to generate electricity till Nov 2 to tide over the acute shortage in the state.
